Strings Attached is a dynamic string ensemble for Violin, Viola and Cello players of ABRSM Grade 3 and above. 

Staff

The ensemble is directed by Mrs Julia Watson, aided by Mr Ron MacDonald.

Repertoire

The musicians play a wide range of music ranging from arrangements of Beatles songs to Bach, pieces by Carl Jenkins and pieces arranged by Mrs Watson herself.
 

Rehearsals

Strings Attached meet every Friday evening from 3.45 pm until 5.15 pm during Gateshead schools’ term timein the Music Room at St. Thomas More R.C. School Blaydon.

Concerts and Events

The ensemble has performed with distinction in Hall 1 of The Sage Gateshead in The Senior Showcase Concerts, and has toured with the Youth Orchestra and Senior Windband during educational visits to Europe.
